The current publicity given to the subject of Jesus' marriage to Mary Magdalene and subsequent children, by the publication and over 10 million sales of the novel The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown, gives us a good reason to put the genealogical record straight. The source for this information comes from the scholarship and research conducted by Laurence Gardner and documented in his book - Bloodline of the Holy Grail - published in 1995.

Laurence Gardner has highlighted the existence of the Chronology of the Acts of the Apostles, which give a detailed chronology of important events throughout Jesus' mission, which includes the dates of birth of his three children.

It is important to remember that the one secure record, which has survived the ravages of time, persecution, library fires and wanton destruction, are the family trees of the many related branches of families all over Europe, from the time that people first cared about their ancestry. We have reproduced with Laurence Gardner's permission, this segment of the genealogical record, which relates directly to Jesus' close family. The Bloodline of the Holy Grail is not restricted in content to genealogies and tales of political intrigue, but its pages hold the key to the essential Grail Code: the key not only to an historical mystery but to a way of life. In order to be numbered among the fit, it is necessary to be fully informed. Only through awareness can preparation be made for the future. Dictatorial rule is not a route to information; it is a positive constraint designed to prevent free access to the truth. Whom, therefore, does the Grail serve ? It serves those who quest despite the odds - for they are the champions of enlightenment.

Once upon a time

Once upon a time in the civilized world, the monarch and the public servants, who honoured their oath of allegiance, delivered to the people, freedom, justice, leisure and instruction.

By facilitating instruction and apprenticeship, the state encouraged each individual to develop special skills appropriate to the ascribed, natural or genetic abilities of that individual, to meet the many needs of the wider community. The pursuit of excellence in each department was a matter of honour, where self interest led to a duty of care towards fellow citizens and the overall success of that community.
