The Devine Triad - Two Male and One Female - Tell Halaf

from beneath the accumulated debris of three thousand years
and restored with well-informed care to something approaching
their ancient grandeur, the three colossal statues that once
supported th portico of Tell-Halaf's temple-palace now stand
in a museum at Berlin. Their discoverer, Baron von Oppenheim,
is seen leaning against the lioness mount of the goddess Hepet.
