This
photograph shows the "Little Temple" which lies to
the south-west of the great open space or court at Sakkara.
As will be seen, two of the pillars that supported the temple
roof have been repaired and re-erected in their original positions.
They are about nineteen feet high, and of a graceful fluted
design. The Step-pyramid in the background, built by Zoser,
first of the pyramid builders, not as a tomb but as a memorial.
